There's light at both ends of the tunnel but only one way out no place to go to the left or the right I hate to turn around when I get to the end I can't hear a sound Fires are burning all around me, the rain won't come don't want to put out what burns inside me it's been simmering too long just need a little more to complete the song It must be time to go it must be time to go New River low Just when it starts to get warm is when it stops working Some are darkened by the years but still retain the heat the warmth is not complete It must be time to go it must be time to go New River low If it goes on too long and it's hard to touch there's a fine line between too little and too much It must be time to go it must be time to go New River low New River low

It's always there, you can count on that and many wonder why I remember more than I forget (at least it's worth a try) to put out there what no one sees when the forests hide the trees In times like these when no one agrees whatever happened to pretty please Sometimes the table's set for one too few sometimes it's for too many no one stops to ask the question and assumes there is plenty but the voices never heard should have been preferred In times like these when no one agrees whatever happened to pretty please When did asking and receiving become distraction and deceiving? Pretty...pretty please The loudest voices most always win and they speak before they think they believe they know better when what's missing is the link those that pause and try reflection are never offered the right connection In times like these when no one agrees whatever happened to pretty please

Caught a plane to Colorado didn’t have a plan but that was OK for a couple days took a ride up the mountain took a drink from the fountain just like it was yesterday Corduroy fields take me home Went much higher than we’d ever been before to the edge of never worth the ride to catch the view had a little trouble breathing but it was just what we were seeking what was old became new Corduroy fields take me home Might not be long but it’s long enough to matter a new song to feed our souls before we scatter Found some grooves without much effort like they were waiting to be caught just what we sought hard to hold back the smiles that come despite the trials just like medicine that can’t be bought Corduroy fields take me home

Heaven 05:23
I've been to the top of mountains I've floated on deep blue seas just like that monkey on the beach scheming with his friends to do what he please just being what they're meant to be Listening to music puts me in a place creating it takes me to another plane just like a painter not ever sure if it will be much different or the same or from whence it did begin Heaven...it's in you, it's in me heaven...it's where you want it to be it's here right now, can't you see? Ever wonder why you meet who you do and which ones stick despite time and place part of me part of you sometimes can't tell the two apart conversations there before they start Heaven...it's in you, it's in me heaven...it's where you want it to be it's here right now, can't you see? Thinking what you want will get better or at least so in the end won't change what you've got right now and what's already been sent make sure what you say is what you meant Heaven...it's in you, it's in me heaven...it's where you want it to be it's here right now, can't you see?

It's almost that time again the board is up, they trickle in sweet melodies for all who enter some to provide, all there to hear all those like minds seeking the same signs to help them find...community pie It's not about what you do or how long you've done it or who you do it with or if others have sung it if it comes from deep inside it will make them feel...community pie My Thursday evening therapy brings me back to reality must be where I am meant to be community pie Never know what to expect or who comes next through that door And what they bring you may have never heard before It might be darker or make you think but it always adds... to the community pie

Worried 02:49
I used to think about things I couldn't change things that could not be so easily arranged plans for the future seemed out of reach if all else failed I told myself I could always teach but now it seems so naive there was really nothing there to believe Of all the people I met along my path most were good if I stop and do the math even the bad ones upon deep reflection spit me out into a better direction I tried not to burn too many bridges tried not to scratch too many itches Worried about me instead of trying to save the world I should've been worried about me What if I followed that inner voice instead of destiny, was it a choice? a world less traveled, a different direction maybe made that soul connection I bet you know who you are You've probably ridden in my little blue car Worried about me instead of trying to save the world I should've been worried about me worried about me looking back it isn't hard to see I should've been worried about me You should've been worried about me They should be worried about me

Crepe myrtle flowers drifting down my street a river of color outside my door rabbits munching on my clover patch black crows crowing forevermore dogs walking people at a leisurely pace no need to hurry when you're in the right place More than you need but not too much in the long run the Bestway thrives it’s about reaching out and reaching in it’s not about listsm it’s not about size a candle lit from single lighter when passed to others makes everything brighter Don’t have a river, don’t have a beach, don’t have mountain or a big peach we don’t have traffic and we get along and now we even have our own song My twenty minute city is right for me nothing’s ever very far away everything I need is on my little corner farmer's market starts my Saturday When I want a cup ‘o joe or something stronger or a pizza named after a Ryan Adam’s song Don’t have a river, don’t have a beach, don’t have mountain or a big peach we don’t have traffic and we get along and now we even have our own song

Denial 03:34
"I've seen how inadequate my own words have been" trying to bring together what should have been gaps that are not really there Few hate but most are in.. Denial...it's why you cry when you don't try What generations did made you who you are and how you think even when you don't know what happened in your car embedded deep within your soul now it's time to pay the toll for... Denial...it's why you cry when you don't try Forget who you are and what you do put yourself in the other shoe you’ll probably find that it won’t fit too big, too small to walk in it Misguided rhetoric reveals what is hidden coded messages have become your bidding can't escape when you’re connected only to those like you in… Denial...it's where you are denial...when you can't see far denial...it's why you cry when you don't try Forget who you are and what you do put yourself in the other shoe you’ll probably find that it won’t fit too big, too small to walk in it Denial

Taking Names 01:58
Taking names both good and bad it's so sad it's come to that until the list comes to the fore taking names will be just that Taking names, playing games hope it will go away Taking sides, here's a shovel remove the dirt, remove my muzzle Digging deeper until I find the sides become too steep to climb Taking names, playing games hope it will go away I've been blacklisted my mind's been twisted I should've resisted I'm so conflicted taking names, taking names Taking rides when I don't know where the road is going, crazy driving should've listened to my momma what she said about hitchhiking Taking names, playing games hope it will go away Taking over is what will happen maybe if I just close my eyes I will wake from this bad dream someone else will save the day Taking names, playing games hope it will go away I've been blacklisted my mind's been twisted I should've resisted I'm so conflicted taking names, taking names taking names, taking hames

Hair on Fire 04:44
She said I was a victim of my success towers of ivory hastened the extinction of the elephant in the room no one could see She might be pretty if she could only smile but that stony facade reveals the truth left behind Hair on fire no matter what I do everybody sees it but for you We all thought he was the answer the ying the yang so badly needed stories to be told hung out to dry, not seeded Hair on fire no matter what I do everybody sees it but for you Hair on fire, hair on fire, hair on fire Riding around like a prima donna hard to ask the right questions you think you've figured it out time will tell without a doubt Hair on fire no matter what I do everybody sees it but for you Hair on fire, hair on fire, hair on fire
